By the use of deep penetrating light, therapeutic laser allows relief of pain through the release of endorphins, decreases inflammation, reduces scar tissue, and stimulates the injured cells to heal at a faster rate. In geriatric patients, the use of laser relieves the aches and pains of old age and arthritis and allows for more freedom and quality of life. Laser also promotes faster healing after surgery or traumatic injury.
