Case Study

By October 13, 2017 Uncategorized

This time of year we frequently see hunting dogs who have sustained some sort of injury.

Last week, Dr. Peterson examined Molly who had been sneezing quite a bit after hunting. Her parents noticed a small amount of blood in her left nostril, but otherwise she was acting pretty normal. There were no obvious abrasions or foreign objects noticed initially.

After sedating Molly and placing her on gas anesthesia, Dr. Peterson used our MedRx machine to examine her nostrils in more detail. Surprisingly, he was able to pull a stick out of her left nostril! Molly was feeling much better after it was removed and was able to go home with some pain medication.
